the kingdom of sustainable energy

An educational film that visualised how Saudi Arabia would become one of the world leaders in sustainable energy generation. There were 4 parts to the production that we needed to address.

A Studio shoot in Manchester's pie factory studio, where a physical set for each type of lab was created and shot with actors, green screen elements and tracking markers.

Motion graphic sequences needed to be both visually understanding, informative and without relying on too much descriptive detail, were created. These sequences were then dropped into the screens in the tracked shots. We created versions of this material in both Arabic and English, as the film was duplicated in both languages.

CG environments depicting what future sustainable engery plants could look like.

Finally a location shoot in Saudi Arabia which required clean-up, tracking solutions (for selected shots) and finally the entire sequence required grading.

saudi 2050

A stylised, cost effective production showing a possible future for Saudi in 2050. The brief was to have a flavour of Tron with an exaggerated colour palette. The fantasy time travel sequence is 5 minutes in length and covers many diverse ideas and was projected in the same theatre as the Kingdom of Sustainable Energy Show.
