We set up an on-site green screen studio in the town hall (location of the Newport Kiln). Local residents in costume re-enacted scenes form the Kiln loading & unloading process through the day. Footage was then composited into our rendered model and an additional treatment was devised to show how fire and heat travelled through the Kiln. This was generated in house to enable an accurate interaction with the chambers, walls and pots. A very interesting and enjoyable project to work on, brilliantly supported by the local community.

It is wonderful! The end result exceeds our expectations by miles. We felt very positively emotional after our experience. It has to be one of the best historical/archaeological exhibits/reconstructions/interpretations we have seen anywhere in the world. It is a huge credit and asset to the town and to everyone involved. There is so much to it. It’s brought alive in a fascinating, lively and enjoyable way by the video, the soundtrack and the lighting. I could go on and on. It is a sheer delight to visit and I hope to do so often.
